Over our first year in business we’ve blended our love for beer with our love for Amarillo, and you’ve made us feel like family. That reception inspired our first mixed culture sour ale. Blended Family is very specific blend of 4 different barrels of a golden sour. It was brewed with pilsner malt, vienna malt, dextrine malt, and flaked oats. The same recipe filled 4 different oak barrels and yielded some bold flavors. We blended them back together to create a very well balanced mixed culture ale with brettanomyces, lactobacillus, and saccharomyces. The barrels used include second use French oak, and second use and first use spirit barrels
