Pina De Fuego
Inspired by a classic tepaché, we brewed this imperial golden ale to age in a cayenne hot sauce barrel (originally holding bourbon). We let it rest for 20 months, soaking up all of the spicy goodness. We pulled the beer from it’s slumber, re-fermented it with copious amounts of pineapple puree, and the result is a wildly delicious flavor explosion. The nose is bursting with ripe pineapple, the sip is crisp and bright, and then slightly spicy. As you swallow you get balanced heat and bold pineapple flavor and you get mild, lingering burn keeps you humble. Cheers!
